Comparison is a Negative-Sum Game

A negative-sum game is a situation that destroys value instead of maximizes value, or even creates any value.

When you compare yourself with others, there are two possible outcomes:

  1. You end up thinking you are better than someone.
  2. You end up thinking you are worse than someone.

Both paths are bad.

One path leads you to arrogance.  The other path leads you to a diminishing self-belief.

Stop comparing yourself to others.  Stop looking to the left and to the right and start looking in the mirror.

Just be better than you were yesterday.

If you are reading this, I appreciate you.
